Generally, new or acute
injuries should not have heat applied. Initially use ice/cold packs,
applied for about 15 to 20 minutes, two to four times a day. Ziploc
bags filled with ice cubes and wrapped with one thin layer of toweling
works well or frozen gel-packs are available at our office. |
